SCATTERING THE POWER OF THE HOLY PEOPLE

Most of the prophesies in the book of Daniel, were written in obscure language, so that the full meaning of the event would not become clear until the time for the fulfillment was near. One of these prophecies, which has puzzled all scholars until recently, is in Daniel chapter 12. It expressly deals with the time of the very end. Its application to our day shows us where we are in history. It reads as follows in Daniel 12:1,4-7. "And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of the people: and there shall be a time of trouble. Such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time Thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book. But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro and knowledge shall be increased. Then I Daniel looked, and behold, there stood other two, one on this side of the bank of the river, and the other on that side of the bank of the river. And one said to the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, How long shall it be to the end of these wonders? And I heard the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and swore by Him that liveth forever, that it shall be for a time, times, and an half; and when he shall have accomplished to scatter the power of the holy people, all these things shall be finished."

This has been a puzzle. To solve this puzzle, we had better start with a definition of, who are the holy people? First, what is meant by holy? Is it a person who is sanctimonious and self-righteous, who makes a six-reel production out of refusing to taste a glass of beer? No, holy simply means dedicated to the service of Yahweh. All men are imperfect, even King David was imperfect; he was an adulterer and a murderer. In spite of these imperfections, King David was the only person Yahweh ever called a man after mine own heart.

Yahweh didn't choose King David because of his sins, but in spite of them. King David had sincerely dedicated his life to the service of Yahweh. The sacrifice of Yahshua, on the cross, was sufficient to take care of all sins. The holy people are the race who are dedicated to the service of Yahweh, carrying out His purposes, despite their individual faults and sins, Yahweh selected them. It is the same as Yahshua's statement to His 12 disciples recorded in John 15:16. "Ye have not chosen Me, but I have chosen you." This is confirmed many places in the Bible.

In Exodus 19:6 Yahweh promised, "Ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, and an holy nation." If you think Yahweh went back on his word because of our personal sins and failures, remember I Peter 2:9 repeats this same comforting assurance. In Leviticus 19:6 Yahweh said, "Speak unto all the congregation of the children of Israel, and say unto them, Ye shall be holy: for I Yahweh your God am holy." Leviticus 20:26 assures us, "Ye shall be holy unto Me: for I Yahweh am holy, and have severed you from other people, that ye should be Mine." Deuteronomy 7:6 reminds us, "For thou art an holy people unto Yahweh thy God: Yahweh thy God hath chosen thee to be a special people unto Himself, above all people that are upon the face of the earth."

Isaiah 62:11-12 crowns this glorious assurance. "Behold, Yahweh hath proclaimed unto the end of the world, say unto the daughter of Zion, Behold, thy salvation cometh; behold, His reward is with Him, and His work before Him. And they shall call them the holy people, the redeemed of Yahweh." We, of Anglo Saxon, Scandinavian and Teutonic ancestry, should never be deceived by the vicious falsehoods of those who are trying to down grade the white race today.

The angels had given Daniel the prophecies concerning the end of the age, and the tremendous warfare and destruction, which will accompany it. Daniel was wondering when all this would occur, and the angel told him, "And when he shall have accomplished to scatter the power of the holy people, all these things shall be finished."

Until the last few years, these words were incomprehensible. We didn't want to believe them, because scattering the power of the holy people, certainly prophesied nothing but trouble. Some people tried to read another meaning into the word scatter, but it is the Hebrew word naw-fat, to scatter, or to dash to pieces and scatter the fragments. Therefore our power is to be scattered, in an unfavorable sense, and then the time of trouble will be ended with our rescue by the return of Yahshua with the armies of heaven.

When our power was concentrated in World Wars I and II, it was irresistible. But being scattered, a little here, a little there, it can be destroyed by the enemy because there isn't enough power in any one place. This is exactly what our enemies are planning. One of the basic principles of warfare, centuries older than ancient Egypt, is that an army which is kept together can defeat a far larger army which has been separated into several smaller groups, by defeating each of these smaller groups, one at a time.

Our enemies are maneuvering us into the fatal error of scattering our forces. Many of you will remember that some farsighted patriots warned us many years ago, that politicians in high places in our government were in the service of our enemies. These traitors planned to take the United States army out of the country, scatter it all over the world, disarm the citizens at home and hand us over, completely helpless, to our enemies.

Today this is exactly what is going on. We have recently seen a high official of one of the states proclaim that he sees no danger in a communist takeover. He is now making the most extraordinary efforts to disarm the entire loyal, patriotic American who would oppose such a takeover. We see the American forces in Vietnam already up to 50,000 men. Our government has recently announced that if Red China takes a more active part in the war, 300,000 American soldiers will be sent to Vietnam. This will use up practically all of our army, which is not already in Europe. The folly of it is beyond words.

We need to win the war in Vietnam but we can't win it on a man-to-man fighting basis. Red China can throw fifteen to twenty to our one, against us. Even if we do kill ten Chinese for each American boy killed, China can take such losses happily. It would relieve the problem of too many mouths to feed. Their birthrate would replace their losses faster than we can kill them with conventional weapons. Our only hope, humanly speaking, is in the early vigorous use of atomic bombs. This is the only human weapon, which can even up the odds against us. However, our government has declared that it will not use the atomic bombs first; that it will wait until after an atomic attack upon the United States has cost us one hundred million lives or more. After this attack we will try to retaliate, if we are still able to do so. They plan to feed our American boys into the meat grinder, allowing the precious breeding stock, the only hope of another generation, to be killed by the hundreds of thousands in a war, which cannot be won on a one to one basis.

This is all as our enemies have planned it. Now you see why the Chinese are so cocky. They will not negotiate with us unless we agree, in advance, that it is only to negotiate their victory and our defeat. Of course they feel this way. It would be a poor general who could not win a war when he is in command of both sides through the United Nations.

We have been in such fear that the Russians, Indonesians, Panamanians and the Congolese might not like us if we win the war and survive. We have allowed these countries to dictate the policies to be followed by our own government. Even the village idiot can see that these policies can have no possible result but our defeat. These policies will insure conquest by our enemies, and enslavement for such of us as they may permit to survive. These politicians have bribed us by the promise to give us back a little of our own money. Because of this we keep them in power when all sane people know it is suicide to do so.

Now Daniel's strange words make sense, the power of the holy people is already scattered. When this is completed, this will make our very survival impossible on any merely human basis. Nothing but the power of Yahweh can rescue us from the consequences of our amazing folly. Yet in all of this, there is also a note of hope. It will not take much longer for the plot to scatter the power of the holy people to be completed, leaving us defenseless before our enemies.

This is what brings Yahweh to our rescue, for the angel told Daniel, "When he shall have accomplished to scatter the power of the holy people, all these things shall be finished." This is one of the signs of the time of the end. Take courage, Yahweh is near at hand!
