They Have Always Been Our Enemy
The 83rd Psalm can be seen in the world today, as much as it ever did in the day it was written.
1). Keep not thou silence, O God: hold not thy peace, and be not still, O God.
Psalm 109:1‑3: Hold not thy peace, O God of my praise; For the mouth of the wicked and the mouth of the deceitful are opened against me: they have spoken against me with a lying tongue. They compassed me about also with words of hatred; and fought against me without a cause.
2). For, lo, thine enemies make a tumult: and they that hate thee have lifted up the head.
Psalm 74:4: Thine enemies roar in the midst of thy congregations; they set up their ensigns for signs.
3). They have taken crafty counsel against thy people, and consulted against thy hidden ones.
Lamentations 2:16: All thine enemies have opened their mouth against thee: they hiss and gnash the teeth: they say, We have swallowed her up: certainly this is the day that we looked for; we have found, we have seen it.
4). They have said, Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation; that the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance.
Psalm 94:23: And he shall bring upon them their own iniquity, and shall cut them off in their own wickedness; yea, the LORD our God shall cut them off.
5). For they have consulted together with one consent: they are confederate against thee:
Psalm 2:2‑3: The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying, Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.
6). The tabernacles of Edom, and the Ishmaelites; of Moab, and the Hagarenes;
2 Chronicles 20:1: It came to pass after this also, that the children of Moab, and the children of Ammon, and with them other beside the Ammonites, came against Jehoshaphat to battle.
2 Chronicles 20:10: And now, behold, the children of Ammon and Moab and mount Seir, whom thou wouldest not let Israel invade, when they came out of the land of Egypt, but they turned from them, and destroyed them not.
7). Gebal, and Ammon, and Amalek; the Philistines with the inhabitants of Tyre;
Ezekiel 26:2‑4: Son of man, because that Tyrus hath said against Jerusalem, Aha, she is broken that was the gates of the people: she is turned unto me: I shall be replenished, now she is laid waste: Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, O Tyrus, and will cause many nations to come up against thee, as the sea causeth his waves to come up. And they shall destroy the walls of Tyrus, and break down her towers: I will also scrape her dust from her, and make her like the top of a rock.
8). Assur also is joined with them: they have holpen the children of Lot. Selah.
Genesis 19:36‑38: Thus were both the daughters of Lot with child by their father. And the firstborn bare a son, and called his name Moab: the same is the father of the Moabites unto this day. And the younger, she also bare a son, and called his name Benammi: the same is the father of the children of Ammon unto this day.
9). Do unto them as unto the Midianites; as to Sisera, as to Jabin, at the brook of Kison:
Judges 5:21: The river of Kishon swept them away, that ancient river, the river Kishon. O my soul, thou hast trodden down strength.
10). Which perished at Endor: they became as dung for the earth.
1 Samuel 28:7: Then said Saul unto his servants, Seek me a woman that hath a familiar spirit, that I may go to her, and inquire of her. And his servants said to him, Behold, there is a woman that hath a familiar spirit at Endor.
Jeremiah 8:1‑3: At that time, saith the LORD, they shall bring out the bones of the kings of Judah, and the bones of his princes, and the bones of the priests, and the bones of the prophets, and the bones OF THE INHABITANTS OF JERUSALEM, out of their graves: And they shall spread them before the sun, and the moon, and all the host of heaven, whom they have loved, and whom they have served, and after whom they have walked, and whom they have sought, and whom they have worshiped: THEY SHALL NOT BE GATHERED, NOR BE BURIED; THEY SHALL BE FOR DUNG UPON THE FACE OF THE EARTH. (This is what will happen to the jews that are in the Old Jerusalem now) And death shall be chosen rather than life by all the residue of them that remain of this evil family, which remain in all the places whither I have driven them, saith the LORD of hosts.
11). Make their nobles like Oreb, and like Zeeb: yea, all their princes as Zebah, and as Zalmunna:
Judges 7:25: And they took two princes of the Midianites, Oreb and Zeeb; and they slew Oreb upon the rock Oreb, and Zeeb they slew at the winepress of Zeeb, and pursued Midian, and brought the heads of Oreb and Zeeb to Gideon on the other side Jordan.
12). Who said, Let us take to ourselves the houses of God in possession.
Psalm 74:1‑10: O God, why hast thou cast us off for ever? why doth thine anger smoke against the sheep of thy pasture? Remember thy congregation, which thou hast purchased of old; the rod of thine inheritance, which thou hast redeemed; this mount Zion, wherein thou hast dwelt. Lift up thy feet unto the perpetual desolations; even all that the enemy hath done wickedly in the sanctuary. Thine enemies roar in the midst of thy congregations; they set up their ensigns for signs...They have cast fire into thy sanctuary, THEY HAVE DEFILED BY CASTING DOWN THE DWELLING PLACE OF THY NAME TO THE GROUND. THEY SAID IN THEIR HEARTS, LET US DESTROY THEM TOGETHER: THEY HAVE BURNED UP ALL THE SYNAGOGUES OF GOD IN THE LAND. We see not our signs: there is no more any prophet: neither is there among us any that knoweth how long. O God, how long shall the adversary reproach? shall the enemy blaspheme thy name for ever?
13). O my God, make them like a wheel; as the stubble before the wind.
Isaiah 17:12‑14: Woe to the multitude of many people, which make a noise like the noise of the seas; and to the rushing of nations, that make a rushing like the rushing of mighty waters! The nations shall rush like the rushing of many waters: but God shall rebuke them, and they shall flee far off, and shall be chased as the chaff of the mountains before the wind, and like a rolling thing before the whirlwind. And behold at eveningtide trouble; and before the morning he is not. This is the portion of them that spoil us, and the lot of them that rob us.
14). As the fire burneth a wood, and as the flame setteth the mountains on fire;
Deuteronomy 32:22: For a fire is kindled in mine anger, and shall burn unto the lowest hell, and shall consume the earth with her increase, and set on fire the foundations of the mountains.
15). So persecute them with thy tempest, and make them afraid with thy storm.
Job 27:19‑23: The rich man shall lie down, but he shall not be gathered: he openeth his eyes, and he is not. Terrors take hold on him as waters, a tempest stealeth him away in the night. The east wind carrieth him away, and he departeth: and as a storm hurleth him out of his place. For God shall cast upon him, and not spare: he would fain flee out of his hand. Men shall clap their hands at him, and shall hiss him out of his place.
16). Fill their faces with shame; that they may seek thy name, O LORD.
2 Thessalonians 3:14: And if any man obey not our word by this epistle, note that man, and have no company with him, that he may be ashamed.
17). Let them be confounded and troubled for ever; yea, let them be put to shame, and perish:
Psalm 35:4‑8: Let them be confounded and put to shame that seek after my soul: let them be turned back and brought to confusion that devise my hurt. Let them be as chaff before the wind: and let the angel of the LORD chase them. Let their way be dark and slippery: and let the angel of the LORD persecute them. For without cause have they hid for me their net in a pit, which without cause they have digged for my soul. Let destruction come upon him at unawares; and let his net that he hath hid catch himself: into that very destruction let him fall.
18). That men may know that thou, whose name alone is JEHOVAH, art the most high over all the earth.
Psalm 92:8‑9: But thou, LORD, art most high for evermore. For, lo, thine enemies, O LORD, for, lo, thine enemies shall perish; all the workers of iniquity shall be scattered.
This Psalm is described in Gores new Commentary as a prayer for the destruction of foreign nations who are confederated against Israel, and points out that these confederated nations, in binding themselves against True Israel, are, in effect opposing Yahweh Himself.
There can be no doubt in the minds of thinking people, particularly among those who have a knowledge of the truth of the Bible, and, therefore, an understanding of the meaning of the Divine plan and purpose in Israels history, that the sentiments expressed by the Psalmist are very applicable to conditions as they are today.
It is now definitely established that the world is divided, as has been pointed out many times that there is a WAR going on between two hostile camps. The one group has a basic ideology, generally termed Judaism or Communism, the source of its whole philosophy and policies, which is diametrically opposed to the principles belonging to the True Israel people, the other group, which is, at least nominally, Christian.
We use this last phrase advisedly because there is no doubt that most of the people who confess to be Christian are Christian in name only and only do lip service to Yahweh; while at the same time the principles of the Kingdom of Yahweh, as enunciated by Him, have not been applied, and are not being applied to the administration of individual, national and international affairs. As a result we are witnessing what can be called a lamentable lack of understanding, with complete inability on the part of our leaders and people alike to find a way out of the present difficult position, domestic and national, in which we find ourselves involved.
Nor will they ever be able to find a way out, until they destroy and run the antichrist elements in our city, state, and federal governments; and return to Yahweh with all our hearts and call upon His Name. As we are told in:
2 Chronicles 7:14: If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
Once again we need to be reminded that this situation is directly in accord with and indeed, the fulfillment of the sentence of Yahweh, who declares.
Isaiah 29:13‑14: Wherefore the Lord said, Forasmuch as this people draw near me with their mouth, and with their lips do honour me, but have removed their heart far from me, and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men: Therefore, behold, I will proceed to do a marvelous work among this people, even a marvelous work and a wonder: for the wisdom of their wise men shall perish, and the understanding of their prudent men shall be hid.
That wisdom and understanding are lacking in relation to present world conditions is abundantly clear and is due in a large part because of the treasonous, deceptive, perverted, false teachings of the Judeo-Christian clergy. You see, it is absolutely essential to realize that the coming great struggle, which is to be the final end of the conflict between good and evil that has been waged all down through the ages, from Genesis 3:15, is definitely a spiritual conflict with a material and physical enemy. No new world order can come into being upon the foundations of that which now exists; nor can there be any patching up of an outworn system. Before the New Order can function, as it is meant to do by the jews and their boot-licks, and lap-dogs, the Judeo-Christian clergy and other traitors of our race; there must be a complete elimination of the evil forces which are arrayed against Yahweh, and which are determined to frustrate and destroy His Divine purpose.
It may be asked how it is possible to suggest that the 83rd Psalm to which we are referring can refer to present conditions in the modern day Israel nations, and to the enemies who plot its destruction both from without and within.
We know, of course, that this truth is not generally believed. We know that when the statement strikes the eyes of a good many readers there is a cynical sneer of unbelief, and that, if it reaches the attention of those who are charged with the instruction of people in the basic truths of the Bible, the Judeo-Christian clergy, it will be openly derided as it has been in the past. But neither cynicism, ridicule, nor disbelief can be destroy the truth; and it is the truth that Yahweh brought into being in a very miraculous and wonderful way, with a specific purpose, a people whom He charged with the responsibility of being His agents and watchmen. They have been, and are, charged with the responsibility of being the nucleus of the Kingdom of Yahweh functioning here upon earth.
The nation so conceived, established and operative was Israel (and by that we dont mean that little bastard nation, known to the world today as Israel in the middle east), and to Israel Yahweh made the solemn promise of perpetuity, both with regard to its national existence and to the monarchial system of government which He established in the House of David.
The promise of perpetuity of existence naturally followed the covenant entered into by Yahweh with the progenitor of Israel, the patriarch Abraham. This covenant was ratified and confirmed to Isaac, and Jacob, whose name was changed to Israel, and stands for all time. It was a covenant which, as the writer of the Epistle to the Hebrews declares, was made absolutely immutable; i.e., unchanging and unending, by the oath of Yahweh Himself.
It follows, then, that Israel shared with the same duty and responsibility, in possession of the Throne of David (presently to be occupied by Him whose right it is, Yahshua, the coming King), is in existence today, and it also follows that the age old enemies of Israel, in their modern form, with the same purpose, which is the annihilation of Israel and the thwarting of the Divine plan and purpose, are also present somewhere on this earth.
Further, it is absolutely evident that there can be no possible deliverance form the attack of the enemy on the basis of purely physical and material strength alone. Israel can only be saved from her enemies; saved to carry out the task and responsibility which is hers, by the help of Yahweh. This Yahweh has promised for the asking, ut the petition must be made as a result of the realization of the nature of the service demanded, and also of the fact that such service mut be rendered as unto Yahweh, not as unto men.
The Israel Nations are busily engaged at the moment in strengthening their defenses, in the increasing military power, and in forming unions among themselves and with other peoples in a desperate attempt to, if possible, forestall that attack of the enemy and, if necessary, to resist the attack about to be made against them.
It is essential however, that something more, in fact, a very great deal more should be done. Yahweh must be recognized as the King over His Israel people. His purpose must be understood as being as real and applicable today as when first administered, and an appeal for help to Him must be based upon the determination and expressed willingness to obey His will.
The hearts of the people comprising Israel must be set on fire with the desire to serve Yahweh and obey His will. It is a remarkable thing that the antichrist forces are fired with an enthusiasm and determination which, at present, is entirely lacking on the part of those who profess and call themselves Christians.
As has recently been said by a well-known publicist,
The Nations need a great awakening if the material plans now being devised by strategists, economists and statesmen are to prove effective. The great nations of ancient Christendom and the vigorous peoples of the new world both alike need to be set aflame if civilization is to be saved. No material forces will prove strong enough for the incalculable tasks which lie ahead. (Pat Buchanan)
Such an awakening, of course, must begin with the individual, but it must be remembered that the individual is a unit in national life. There is a definite relationship to Yahweh which must be recognized and observed by the nation. Just as exactly as we apply matters which are entirely material to the national aspect of life, so we must remember that in spiritual matters the same practice must be followed, for Yahweh has laid down definite spiritual requirements for the nation apart from those which belong purely to the regulation of the spiritual conduct of individuals, and which are just as binding.
When the nation Israel was established, it was brought into being on the foundation of national obedience to the Divine Law, and when the inauguration of the nation took place, the people accepted the responsibility and declared, All the Lord hath spoken, we will do. (Exodus 19:18)
Here was an undertaking both on the part of the individual and the nation to keep the commandments, statutes and judgments of the Law of Yahweh. As long as this was done the armies of Israel were able to defend themselves against attack, but when any dereliction occurred, Israel was unable to stand before the enemy.
Wile it is absolutely essential to remember that we are not, and shall not be, immune from attack, Yahweh has definitely promised to do for us what we are unable to do for ourselves. He reminds us that what Yahweh says and does will be far more important in the Great and Terrible Day of Yahweh than what apostate men will attempt to do
What Yahweh does is absolutely contingent upon obedience to His will; for when Israel failed to keep and administer Yahwehs Law, they were charged with failure and punishment followed.
Our national sin today consists, as did that of Israel of old, of setting aside the Divine administration and assuming that, as nation, we have the right to set up laws and systems of administration which will take the place of the God-given statutes and judgments. There must be, then, if we desire deliverance a great national spiritual awakening to the need for restoration of the Divine administration. Yahweh has declared that, as soon as we make the inquiry of Him to do it for us, He will respond. Prayers for peace will not avail until there is a national return to Almighty God in humble obedience to His Will, for prayers for peace cannot be answered as long as the nation continues to violate a solemn obligation which is just as binding upon it today as it was when first undertaken by its progenitors at Mount Sinai.
Let us remember that the deliverance is ours for the asking. What Yahweh has promised He will most surely perform, for He says:
Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else. I have sworn by myself, the word is gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, That unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear. Surely, shall one say, in the LORD have I righteousness and strength: even to him shall men come; and all that are incensed against him shall be ashamed. In the LORD shall all the seed of Israel be justified, and shall glory. (Isaiah 45:22-25)
