BORN IN BETHLEHEM EPHRAHIM OR BETHLEHEM JUDAH?

THESE ARE VIEWS ON THE MYSTERY OF WHAT TRIBE THE CHRIST CHILD WOULD COME FROM JUDAH OR JOSEPH. PLEASE KEEP AN OPEN MIND ON THIS SUBJECT AS I HOPE TO SHOW THAT MOST CHRISTIAN WRITERS TEACHERS AND RELIGIOUS COMMENTATORS ARE CONTRARY TO THE TRUE TEACHING OF THE WORD AS THEY LIKE TO KEEP THE TRADITIONS OF THE JEWS

Ga 1:14And I profitedin the Jews' religionabovemany my equalsin mine ownnation, being more exceedinglyzealous of the traditions of myfathers.

This is speaking of Paul and his conversion to Chritianity from the Jews religion, which is compltely opposite of the teachings of Christ.

But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man. For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ. For ye have heard of my conversation in time past in the Jews' religion, how that beyond measure I persecuted the church of God, and wasted it: And profited in the Jews' religion above many my equals in mine own nation, being more exceedingly zealous of the traditions of my fathers. But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother's womb, and called me by his grace, To reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the heathen; immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood: Neither went I up to Jerusalem to them which were apostles before me; but I went into Arabia, and returned again unto Damascus (this statement creates a question, Why did he go to Arabia and Damascus? Where he apparently spent three years. Yet the scriptures nor any of his writings tell us why and what he learned of from who while he was there. If he had learned from Christ or Yahweh why does he not mention it?). Then after three years I went up to Jerusalem to see Peter, and abode with him fifteen days. (Galatians 1:11-18)

Mr 7:9And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition.

Mr 7:13Making the word of God of none effect through your tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things do ye.

Both these verses is Christ speaking to the Jews.

2 Timothy 3:1-20: 1 But know this: difficult times will come in the last days. 2 For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3 unloving, irreconcilable, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, without love for what is good, 4 traitors, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, 5 holding to the form of religion but denying its power. Avoid these people! 15 "Beware of false prophets who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly are ravaging wolves. 16 You'll recognize them by their fruit. Are grapes gathered from thornbushes or figs from thistles? 17 In the same way, every good tree produces good fruit, but a bad tree produces bad fruit. 18 A good tree can't produce bad fruit; neither can a bad tree produce good fruit. 19 Every tree that doesn't produce good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 So you'll recognize them by their fruit.

LOOKING BEHIND THE SECULAR OPINIONS OF THE WRITERS OF BABYLON WILL SHOW YOU THAT ALL OF THE PROMISES FOR THE CHRIST CHILD KINSMEN REDEMMER MUST COME OUT OF THE BIRTHRIGHT TRIBE TO BE ONLY OF JOSEPH.

I Chronicles 5:1Now the sons of Reuben the firstborn of Israel, (for he was the firstborn; but, forasmuch as he defiled his father's bed, his birthright was given unto the sons of Joseph the son of Israel: and the genealogy is not to be reckoned after the birthright.

THE BROTHERS Were JEALOUS!

GENESIS 37:8 And his brethren said to JOSEPH Shalt thou indeed reign over us? or shalt thou indeed have dominion over us? And they hated him yet the more for his dreams, and for his words. 37:26And Judah said unto his brethren, What profit is it if we slay our brother, and conceal his blood? 37:27Come, and let us sell him to the Ishmeelites, and let not our hand be upon him; for he is our brother and our flesh. And his brethren

37:28 Then there passed by Midianites merchantmen *; and they drew and lifted up Joseph out of the pit, and sold Joseph to the Ishmeelites for twenty pieces of silver: and they brought Joseph into Egypt.

49:22 Joseph is a fruitful bough, even a fruitful bough by a well; whose branches run over the wall:

49:23 The archers have sorely grieved him, and shot at him, and hated him:

49:24 But his bow abode in strength, and the arms of his hands were made strong by the hands of the mighty God of Jacob; (from thence is the shepherd, the stone of Israel:) THE STONE SHEPHERD WAS TO COME OUT OF JOSEPH FULLFILLED IN CHRIST THRU THE SEED OF JOSEPH!!

WE MUST LOOK FOR A PERFECT TYPE FOR CHRIST WHO DID NO SIN, THIS TYPES JOSEPH, NOT JUDAH, IF YOU LOOK AT JUDAH YOU WILL SEE A MOST IMPERFECT MAN, JUDAH MIXED HIS SEED WITH CAINS SEED. THIS IS NOT THE TYPE OF CHRIST!

Yes he did that, but he also brought forth through Tamar WHO WAS NOT A CANAANITE!

Genesis 38:1 And it came to pass at that time, that Judah went down from his brethren, and turned in to a certain Adullamite, whose name was Hirah. 38:2And Judah saw there a daughter of a certain Canaanite, whose name was Shuah; and he took her, and went in unto her. 38:3And she conceived, and bare a son; and he called his name Er. 38:4And she conceived again, and bare a son; and she called his name Onan. 38:5And she yet again conceived, and bare a son; and called his name Shelah: and he was at Chezib, when she bare him. THIS SEED OF JUDAH AND [SHUAH THE CANNITE] SHELAHGREW IN THE EARTH TO BECOME THE CHIEF SCRIBES AND PHARISEES!

YET YOU LEFT OUT A VERY IMPORTANT PIECE OF THE STORY; AND THAT IS THAT JUDAH ALSO HAD CHILDREN WITH AN ISRAELITE WOMAN BY THE NAME OF TAMAR. ALSO YOU APPARENTLY DID NOT SEE THE VERSES WHICH STATE THAT CHRIST SPRANG OUT OF JUDAH.

For IT IS EVIDENT THAT OUR LORD SPRANG OUT OF JUDA; of which tribe Moses spake nothing concerning priesthood. (Hebrews 7:14)

And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, THE LION OF THE TRIBE OF JUDA, THE ROOT OF DAVID, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof. (Revelation 5:5)

Revelation 5:5: [The Lion of the tribe of Juda] JESUS CHRIST, WHO SPRANG FROM THIS TRIBE, AS HIS GENEALOGY PROVES; see the note at Matt 1 and Luke 3. There is an allusion here to Gen 49:9, JUDAH IS A LIONS WHELP; THE LION WAS THE EMBLEM OF THIS TRIBE, and was supposed to have been embroidered on its ensigns. [The Root of David] See Isa 11:1. CHRIST WAS THE ROOT OF DAVID AS TO HIS DIVINE NATURE; HE WAS A BRANCH OUT OF THE STEM OF JESSE AS TO HIS HUMAN NATURE. (from Adam Clarke's Commentary, Electronic Database. Revelation 5:1‑5: John adds some details regarding the One sitting upon the throne, who is said to hold in his right hand a book written within and on the back, close sealed with seven seals (ASV. Whether this is a book in codex form, like our books today, with the seven seals somewhat equally distributed on the sides, top, and bottom, or a scroll with the seven seals in one continuous line, we are not told. Another voice is heard, that of a strong angel, asking who is worthy to open this book (v. 2). The answer is that no one in the universe is worthy. THEN ONE OF THE ELDERS (v. 5) ANNOUNCES THAT THE LION OF THE TRIBE OF JUDAH (Gen 49:9), THE ROOT OF DAVID (Isa 11:1,10) is worthy to open this book, for two reasons; first, he has overcome, which would seem to refer to his defeat, while on earth, of Satan and every evil power; and, secondly, by his redemptive work he has purchased us unto God, with his blood (Rev 5:9). Note the universality of the redeemed in verse 9. (from The Wycliffe Bible Commentary, Electronic Database. Copyright (c) 1962 by Moody Press)

Revelation 5:1‑5: 2). Who it was that would do the thing‑the Lord JESUS CHRIST, CALLED THE LION OF THE TRIBE OF JUDAH according to his human nature, alluding to Jacob's prophecy (Gen 49:10), AND THE ROOT OF DAVID according to his divine nature, though a branch of David according to the flesh. He who is a middle person, God and man, and bears the office of Mediator between God and man, is fit and worthy to open and execute all the counsels of God towards men. And this he does in his mediatorial state and capacity, AS THE ROOT OF DAVID AND THE OFFSPRING OF JUDAH, and as the King and head of the Israel of God; and he will do it, to the consolation and joy of all his people. Revelation 5:5: [BEHOLD, THE LION OF THE TRIBE OF JUDAH] THIS UNDOUBTEDLY REFERS TO THE LORD JESUS; and the points needful to be explained are, WHY HE IS CALLED A LION, and WHY HE IS SPOKEN OF AS THE LION OF THE TRIBE OF JUDAH:

(a) As to the first: THIS APPELLATION IS NOT ELSEWHERE GIVEN TO THE MESSIAH, BUT IT IS NOT DIFFICULT TO SEE ITS PROPRIETY AS USED IN THIS PLACE. THE LION IS THE KING OF BEASTS, THE MONARCH OF THE FOREST, AND THUS BECOMES AN EMBLEM OF ONE OF KINGLY AUTHORITY AND OF POWER (see the notes on Rev 4:7), and AS SUCH THE APPELLATION IS USED IN THIS PLACE. IT IS BECAUSE CHRIST HAS POWER TO OPEN THE SEALS-AS IF HE RULED OVER THE UNIVERSE, AND ALL EVENTS WERE UNDER HIS CONTROL, AS THE LION RULES IN THE FOREST-THAT THE NAME IS HERE GIVEN TO HIM.

(b) As to the other point: HE IS CALLED THE LION OF THE TRIBE OF JUDAH, DOUBTLESS, WITH REFERENCE TO THE PROPHECY IN GENESIS 49:9‑"JUDAH IS A LIONS WHELP: From the prey, my son, thou art gone up: he stooped down, he couched as a lion, and as an old lion"; and from the fact that the Messiah was of the tribe of Judah. Compare Gen 49:10. This use of the term would connect him in the apprehension of John with the prophecy, and would suggest to him the idea of his being a ruler, or having dominion. As such, therefore, it would be appropriate that the power of breaking these seals should be committed to him.

[The Root of David] Not the Root of David in the sense that David sprung from him as a tree does from a root, but in the sense that he himself was a "root‑shoot" or sprout from David, and had sprung from him as a shoot or sprout springs up from a decayed and fallen tree. See the notes on Isa 11:1. This expression would connect him directly with David, the great and glorious monarch of Israel, and as having a right to occupy his throne. As one thus ruling over the people of God, there was a propriety that to him should be entrusted the task of opening these seals. (from Barnes' Notes, Electronic Database. Genesis 38:13: And it was told Tamar, saying, Behold thy father in law goeth up to Timnath to shear his sheep. 14 And she put her widow's garments off from her, and covered her with a vail, and wrapped herself, and sat in an open place, which is by the way to Timnath; for she saw that Shelah was grown, and she was not given unto him to wife. 15 WHEN JUDAH SAW HER, he thought her to be an harlot; because she had covered her face. 16 And he turned unto her by the way, and said, GO TO, I PRAY THEE, LET ME COME IN UNTO THEE; (for he knew not that she was his daughter in law.) And she said, What wilt thou give me, that thou mayest come in unto me? 17 And he said, I will send thee a kid from the flock. And she said, Wilt thou give me a pledge, till thou send it? 18 And he said, What pledge shall I give thee? And she said, Thy signet, and thy bracelets, and thy staff that is in thine hand. And he gave it her, and came in unto her, and she conceived by him. 19 And she arose, and went away, and laid by her vail from her, and put on the garments of her widowhood. 20 And Judah sent the kid by the hand of his friend the Adullamite, to receive his pledge from the woman's hand: but he found her not. 21 Then he asked the men of that place, saying, Where is the harlot, that was openly by the way side? And they said, There was no harlot in this place. 22 And he returned to Judah, and said, I cannot find her; and also the men of the place said, that there was no harlot in this place. 23 And Judah said, Let her take it to her, lest we be shamed: behold, I sent this kid, and thou hast not found her. 24 And it came to pass about three months after, that it was told Judah, saying, Tamar thy daughter in law hath played the harlot; and also, behold, she is with child by whoredom. And Judah said, Bring her forth, and let her be burnt. 25 When she was brought forth, she sent to her father in law, saying, By the man, whose these are, am I with child: and she said, Discern, I pray thee, whose are these, the signet, and bracelets, and staff. 26 And JUDAH ACKNOWLEDGED THEM, and said, She hath been more righteous than I; because that I gave her not to Shelah my son. And he knew her again no more. 27 And IT CAME TO PASS IN THE TIME OF HER TRAVAIL, THAT, BEHOLD, TWINS WERE IN HER WOMB. 28 And it came to pass, when she travailed, that the one put out his hand: and the midwife took and bound upon his hand a scarlet thread, saying, This came out first, 29 And it came to pass, as he drew back his hand, that, behold, his brother came out: and she said, How hast thou broken forth? this breach be upon thee: THEREFORE HIS NAME WAS CALLED PHAREZ. 30 And AFTERWARD CAME OUT HIS BORTHER, THAT HAD THE SCARLET THREAD UPON HIS HAND: and HIS NAME WAS CALLED ZARAH. (Genesis 38:13‑30)

ALL LISTED HERE ARE THE ONES THAT WENT DOWN TO EGEPT WITH JACOB.

PHAREZ AND ZARAH DID NOT GO DOWN INTO EGYPT WITH JACOB, BUT WENT INSTEAD TO THE BRITISH ISLES.

YOU CAN SEE HERE HOW THIS SERPENT SEED OF CAIN NOW WILL MIX WITH THE HOUSE OF ISRAEL! TO INTERBREED WITH THE TRUE BLOODLINE. LOOK HERE! 11:1And when the people [THE MIXED RACE]complained, it displeased the LORD: and the LORD heard it; and his anger was kindled; and the fire of the LORD burnt among them, and consumed them that were in the uttermost parts of the camp.

AFTER 215 YEARS OF INBREEDING WITH THE HOUSE OF ISRAEL IN EGYPT THIS MIXED RACE CAME OUT WITH ISRAEL!!

Ex 12:38 A mixed [THE WORD MIXED IS STRONGS # 6154 EREB MONGREL] multitude went up with them also, and flocks and herds--a great deal of livestock. [SHELAHS SEED OUT OF JUDAHS BLOODLINE WITH THE CANNITE!]

Jer 50:37 - A sword is against their horses, Against their chariots, And against all the mixed peoples who are in her midst; And they will become like women. A sword is against her treasures, and they will be robbed.

Da 2:41 - Whereas you saw the feet and toes, partly of potter's clay and partly of iron, the kingdom shall be divided; yet the strength of the iron shall be in it, just as you saw the iron mixed with ceramic claY

THIS IS THE DESCRIPTION OF THE DREAM OF NEBUCHADNEZZAR AND HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE MIXED BREEDING IN ISRAEL.

THUS HERE IS THE PLAN OF SATAN TO MIX HIS SEED WITH JACOBS BLOOD AND SLIP IN AS A SERPENT AND DECEIVE THE VERY ELECT BLOODLINE OF THE CHRIST, BUT WHEN CHRIST COME THE STOLEN BIRTHRIGHT SCEPTER WAS RECLAIMED BY CHRIST! THE WORD OF JACOB COME TO PASS JUST AS HE SAID;

GEN 49:10The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come; and unto him shall the gathering of the people be.

CHRIST WOULD HAVE NO RIGHT TO RECLAIM THE BIRTHRIGHT SECPTER IF IT BELONGED TO JUDAH BY PROMISE. BUT NOTICE WHEN HE CAME TO THE JEWS [MIXED] WHAT HE SAID THAT THEY [JEWS] WERE BLOOD CROSSED WITH THE SEED OF CAIN!

JOHN 8:39 "Our father is Abraham!" they replied. "If you were Abraham's children," Jesus told them, "you would do what Abraham did. 40 But now you are trying to kill Me, a man who has told you the truth that I heard from God. Abraham did not do this! 41 You're doing what your father does." "We weren't born of sexual immorality," they said. "We have one Father--God." 42 Jesus said to them, "If God were your Father, you would love Me, because I came from God and I am here. For I didn't come on My own, but He sent Me. 43 Why don't you understand what I say? Because you cannot listen to My word. 44 You are of your father the Devil, and you want to carry out your father's desires. THE INERITANCE [SECPTER BIRTHRIGHT] WAS TO BE RETURNED TO THE SON OF JOSEPH [CHRIST!]

12:35 And Jesus answered and said, while he taught in the temple, How say the scribes that Christ is the Son of David? 36 For David himself said by the Holy Ghost, The LORD said to my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, till I make thine enemies thy footstool. 37David therefore himself calleth him Lord; and whence is he then his son? IN WHAT CITY WAS YAHWEHSHUA THE BIRTHRIGHT HEIR BORN? BETHLEHEM JUDAH OR BETHLEHEM EPHRAIAM

35:3 And JACOB SAID let us arise, and go up to Bethel; and I will make there an altar unto God, who answered me in the day of my distress, and was with me in the way which I went.

35:6 So Jacob came to Luz, which is in the land of Canaan, that is, Bethel, he and all the people that were with him.

35:11 And God said unto him, I am God Almighty: be fruitful and multiply; a nation and a company of nations shall be of thee, and kings shall come out of thy loins;

35:14 And Jacob set up a pillar in the place where he talked with him, even a pillar of stone: and he poured a drink offering thereon, and he poured oil thereon.

35:16 And they journeyed from Bethel; and there was but a little way to come to Ephrath: and Rachel travailed, and she had hard labour.

35:19 And Rachel died, and was buried in the way to Ephrath, which is Bethlehem.

[NOW HERE WE SEE IT IS BETHLEHEM EPHRATH ] BUT WHERE IS THIS ON THE MAP ? IT IS NORTH OF JERUSALEM! IS IT IN JUDAH? THE ANSWER IS NO!! LET US SEE WHERE BENJAMIN WAS BORN.. 16 Then they journeyed from Bethel. And when there was but a little distance to go to Ephrath, Rachel labored in childbirth, and she had hard labor. 17 Now it came to pass, when she was in hard labor, that the midwife said to her, "Do not fear; you will have this son also." 18 And so it was, as her soul was departing (for she died), that she called his name Ben-Oni; F67 but his father called him Benjamin. F68 19 So Rachel died and was buried on the way to Ephrath (that is, Bethlehem). 20 And Jacob set a pillar on her grave, which is the pillar of Rachel's grave to this day.

NOW LET US SEE WHERE THAT IS 1ST SAMUEL 10. 1 Then Samuel took a flask of oil and poured

it on his head, and kissed him and said: "Is it not because the Lord has anointed you commander over His inheritance?* 2 When you have departed from me today, you will find two men by Rachel's tomb in the territory of Benjamin at Zelzah; NORTH OF JUDAH!

His mother, Rachel, died in the act of giving him birth, naming him with her last breath Ben-oni (son of my sorrow ). This was by Jacob changed into Benjamin. (Genesis 35:16,18) Until the journeys of Jacobs sons and Jacob himself into Egypt we hear nothing of Benjamin. Nothing personal is known of him. Henceforward the history of Benjamin is the history of the tribe

RIGHT HERE YOU PROVE THAT CHRIST CAME FROM JUDAH. WHEN YOU SAID THAT PHREZ FATHERED HEZRON...SALMON FATHERED BOAZ, BOAZ FATHERED OBED, OBED FATHERED JESSE AND JESSE FATHERED KING DAVID. So David who fathered Mary came from David and therefore Christ was from Judah.

Ru 3:9And he said, Who art thou? And she answered, I am Ruth thine handmaid: spread therefore thy skirt over thine handmaid; for thou art a near kinsman.

Ru 4:5Then said Boaz, What day thou buyest the field of the hand of Naomi, thou must buy it also of Ruth the Moabitess, the wife of the dead, to raise up the name of the dead upon his inheritance.

Ru 4:5Then said Boaz, What day thou buyest the field of the hand of Naomi, thou must buy it also of Ruth the Moabitess, the wife of the dead, to raise up the name of the dead upon his inheritance.

Ru 4:10Moreover Ruth the Moabitess, the wife of Mahlon, have I purchased to be my wife, to raise up the name of the dead upon his inheritance, that the name of the dead be not cut off from among his brethren, and from the gate of his place: ye are witnesses this day.

So he drew off his shoe

16 And Naomi took the child, and laid it in her bosom, and became nurse unto it. 17 And the women her neighbours gave it a name, saying, There is a son born to Naomi; and they called his name Obed: he is the father of Jesse, the father of David. 18 Now these are the generations of Pharez: Pharez begat Hezron, 19 And Hezron begat Ram, and Ram begat Amminadab, 20 And Amminadab begat Nahshon, and Nahshon begat Salmon, F15 21 And Salmon begat Boaz, and Boaz begat Obed, 22 And Obed begat Jesse, and Jesse begat David.

_ A town of Zebulun, NAMED BETHLEHEM six miles west of Nazareth 65 MILES NORTH OF BETHLEHEM JUDAH!Joshu19:16This is the inheritance of the children of Zebulun according to their families, these cities with their villages.

The name Bethel was at first apparently given to the sanctuary in the neighbourhood of Luz, and was not given to the city itself till after its conquest by the tribe of Ephraim. When Abram entered Canaan he formed his second encampment between Bethel and Hai (Genesis 12:8); and on his return from Egypt he came back to it, and again "called upon the name of the Lord" (13:4). Here Jacob, on his way from Beersheba to Haran, had a vision of the angels of God ascending and descending on the ladder whose top reached unto heaven (28:10,19); and on his return he again visited this place, "where God talked with him" (35:1-15), and there he "built an altar, and called the place El-beth-el" (q.v.). To this second occasion of God's speaking with Jacob at Bethel, (Hosea 12:4,5) makes reference.

2:1Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem, HEROD WENT NORTH OF JERUSALEM NOT SOUTH TO KILL THE CHILDREN OF RACHEL!

2:2Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him.

2:3When Herod the king had heard these things, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him.

2:4And when he had gathered all the chief priests and scribes of the people together, he demanded of them where Christ should be born.

2:5And they said unto him, In Bethlehem of Judaea: for thus it is written by the prophet,

2:6And thou Bethlehem, in the land of Juda, art not the least among the princes of Juda: for out of thee shall come a Governor, that shall rule my people Israel. HERE IS WHERE THE SCRIBES MISS QUOTE THE WORD SEE MICAH 5 1 Now gather yourself in troops, O daughter of troops; He has laid siege against us; They will strike the judge of Israel with a rod on the cheek. 2 "But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, Though you are little [THE HEBREW SAYS COMPARED TO] among the thousands of Judah, Yet out of you [BETHLEHEM EPHRAM] NOT JUDAH shall come forth to Me The One to be Ruler in Israel, [THE STONE SHEPHERD] Whose goings forth are from of old, From everlasting."

MATT.2-16 Then Herod, when he saw that he had been outwitted by the wise men, flew into a rage. He gave orders to massacre all the male children in and around Bethlehem who were two years old and under, in keeping with the time he had learned from the wise men. 17 Then what was spoken through Jeremiah the prophet was fulfilled: 18 A voice was heard in Ramah, weeping, and great mourning, Rachel weeping for her children; and she refused to be consoled, because they were no more. IT WAS RACHELS CHILDREN WEEPING!! NOT LEAHS.?

1 In those days a decree went out from Caesar Augustus that the whole empire should be registered. 2 This first registration took place while Quirinius was governing Syria. 3 So everyone went to be registered, each to his own town. 4 And Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee, to Judea, to the city of David, which is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and family line of David, DID JOSEPH GO UP TO THE CITY OF BETHLEHEM JUDAH, OR EPHRATAH? SEE STJOHN 11- 54 they plotted to kill Him. 54 Therefore Jesus no longer walked openly among the Jews, but departed from there to the countryside near the wilderness, to a town called EPHRAIM. And He stayed there with the disciples.

MATT 26 -69 Now Peter was sitting outside in the courtyard. A servant approached him and she said, "You were with Jesus the Galilean too." 70 But he denied it in front of everyone:

LUKE 22-57 But PETER denied it: "Woman, I don't know Him!" 58 After a little while, someone else saw him and said, "You're one of them too!" "Man, I am not!" Peter said. 59 About an hour later, another kept insisting, "This man was certainly with Him, since he's also a GALILEAN." 60 But Peter said, "Man, I don't know what you're talking about!"

LUKE 23 1 Then their whole assembly rose up and brought Him before Pilate. 2 They began to accuse Him, saying, "We found this man subverting our nation, opposing payment of taxes to Caesar, and saying that He Himself is the Messiah, a King." 3 So Pilate asked Him, "Are You the King of the Jews?" He answered him, "You have said it." 4 Pilate then told the chief priests and the crowds, "I find no grounds for charging this man." 5 But they kept insisting, "He stirs up the people, teaching throughout all Judea, from Galilee where He started even to here." 6 When Pilate heard this, he asked if the man was a GALILEAN. 7 Finding that He was under Herod's jurisdiction, he sent Him to Herod, who was also in Jerusalem

Luke 3: 1 - 38 -

1 In the fifteenth year of the reign of Tiberius Caesar, while Pontius Pilate was governor of JUDEA, Herod was tetrarch of GALILEE 9 So he kept asking Him questions, but Jesus did not answer him. 10 The chief priests and the scribes stood by, vehemently accusing Him. 11 Then Herod, with his soldiers, treated Him with contempt, mocked Him, dressed Him in a brilliant robe, and sent Him back to Pilate. 12 That very day Herod and Pilatebecame friends. Previously, they had been hostile toward each other.

10:2But he that entereth in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep.
