JUDGES AND JUDGMENT

GENESIS 18:25

That be far from thee to do after this manner, to slay the righteous with the wicked: and that the righteous should be as the wicked, that be far from thee: shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?

EXODUS 7:1

And The Lord (Yahweh) said unto Moses, See, I have made thee a god to Pharaoh: and Aaron thy brother shall be thy prophet.

EXODUS 18: 13-26

And it came to pass on the morrow, that Moses sat to judge the people: and the people stood by Moses from the morning unto the evening.

And when Moses' father in law saw all that he did to the people, he said, What is this thing that thou doest to the people? why sittest thou thyself alone, and all the people stand by thee from morning unto even?

And Moses said unto his father in law, because the people come unto me to inquire of God (El):

When they have a matter, they come unto me; and I judge between one and another, and I do make them know the statutes of God (El), and His laws.

And Moses' father in law said unto him, The thing that thou doest is not good.

Thou wilt surely wear away, both thou, and this people that is with thee: for this thing is too heavy for thee; thou art not able to perform it thyself alone.

Hearken now unto my voice, I will give thee counsel, and God (El) shall be with thee: be thou for the people to God (El)-ward, that thou mayest bring the causes unto God (El):

And thou shalt teach them ordinances and laws, and shalt shew them the way wherein they must walk, and the work that they must do.

Moreover thou shalt provide out of all the people able men, such as fear God (El), men of truth, hating covetousness; and place such over them, to be rulers of thousands, and rulers of hundreds, rulers of fifties, and rulers of tens:

And let them judge the people at all seasons: and it shall be, that every great matter they shall bring unto thee, but every small matter they shall judge: so shall it be easier for thyself, and they shall bear the burden with thee.

If thou shalt do this thing, and God (El) command thee so, then thou shalt be able to endure, and all this people shall also go to their place in peace.

So Moses hearkened to the voice of his father in law, and did all that he had said.

And Moses chose able men out of all Israel, and made them heads over the people, rulers of thousands, rulers of hundreds, rulers of fifties, and rulers of tens.

And they judged the people at all seasons: the hard causes they brought unto Moses, but every small matter they judged themselves.

EXODUS 22:28

Thou shalt not revile the gods, nor curse the ruler of thy people.

PSALMS 82:6

I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High.

LEVITICUS 19:15

Ye shall do no unrighteousness in judgment: thou shalt not respect the person of the poor, nor honour the person of the mighty: but in righteousness shalt thou judge thy neighbour.

LEVITICUS 19:35-37

Ye shall do no unrighteousness in judgment, in meteyard, in weight, or in measure.

Just balances, just weights, a just ephah, and a just hin, shall ye have: I am the Lord (Yahweh) your God (El), which brought you out of the land of Egypt.

Therefore shall ye observe all My statutes, and all My judgments, and do them: I am the Lord (Yahweh).

DEUTERONOMY 1:16,17

And I charged your judges at that time, saying, Hear the causes between your brethren, and judge righteously between every man and his brother, and the stranger that is with him.

Ye shall not respect persons in judgment; but ye shall hear the small as well as the great; ye shall not be afraid of the face of man; for the judgment is God's (El’s): and the cause that is too hard for you, bring it unto me, and I will hear it.

DEUTERONOMY 16:18,19

Judges and officers shalt thou make thee in all thy gates, which the Lord (Yahweh) thy God (El) giveth thee, throughout thy tribes: and they shall judge the people with just judgment.

Thou shalt not wrest judgment; thou shalt not respect persons, neither take a gift: for a gift doth blind the eyes of the wise, and pervert the words of the righteous.

DEUTERONOMY 17:8-13

If there arise a matter too hard for thee in judgment, between blood and blood, between plea and plea, and between stroke and stroke, being matters of controversy within thy gates: then shalt thou arise, and get thee up into the place which the Lord (Yahweh) thy God (El) shall choose;

And thou shalt come unto the priests the Levites, and unto the judge that shall be in those days, and inquire; and they shall shew thee the sentence of judgment:

And thou shalt do according to the sentence, which they of that place which the Lord (Yahweh) shall choose shall shew thee; and thou shalt observe to do according to all that they inform thee:

According to the sentence of the law which they shall teach thee, and according to the judgment which they shall tell thee, thou shalt do: thou shalt not decline from the sentence which they shall shew thee, to the right hand, nor to the left.

And the man that will do presumptuously, and will not hearken unto the priest that standeth to minister there before the Lord (Yahweh) thy God (El) or unto the judge, even that man shall die: and thou shalt put away the evil from Israel.

And all the people shall hear, and fear, and do no more presumptuously.

DEUTERONOMY 28:35

The Lord (Yahweh) shall smite thee in the knees, and in the legs, with a sore botch that cannot be healed, from the sole of thy foot unto the top of thy head.

DEUTERONOMY 28:43-50

The stranger that is within thee shall get up above thee very high; and thou shalt come down very low.

He shall lend to thee, and thou shalt not lend to him: he shall be the head, and thou shalt be the tail.

Moreover all these curses shall come upon thee, and shall pursue thee, and overtake thee, till thou be destroyed; because thou hearkenedst not unto the voice of the Lord (Yahweh) thy God (El), to keep His commandments and His statutes which He commanded thee:

And they shall be upon thee for a sign and for a wonder, and upon thy seed for ever.

Because thou servedst not the Lord (Yahweh) thy God (El) with joyfulness, and with gladness of heart, for the abundance of all things;

Therefore shalt thou serve thine enemies, which the Lord (Yahweh) shall send against thee, in hunger, and in thirst, and in nakedness, and in want of all things: and He shall put a yoke of iron upon thy neck, until He have destroyed thee.

The Lord (Yahweh) shall bring a nation against thee from far, from the end of the earth, as swift as the eagle flieth; a nation whose tongue thou shalt not understand;

A nation of fierce countenance, which shall not regard the person of the old, nor shew favour to the young:

DEUTERONOMY 28:53

And thou shalt eat the fruit of thine own body, the flesh of thy sons and of thy daughters, which the Lord (Yahweh) thy God (El) hath given thee, in the siege, and in the straitness, wherewith thine enemies shall distress thee:

DEUTERONOMY 28:61

Also every sickness, and every plague, which is not written in the book of this law, them will the Lord (Yahweh) bring upon thee, until thou be destroyed.

DEUTERONOMY 30:15-20

See, I have set before thee this day life and good, and death and evil;

In that I command thee this day to love the Lord (Yahweh) thy God (El), to walk in His ways, and to keep His commandments and His statutes and His judgments, that thou mayest live and multiply: and the Lord (Yahweh) thy God (El) shall bless thee in the land whither thou goest to possess it.

But if thine heart turn away, so that thou wilt not hear, but shalt be drawn away, and worship other gods, and serve them;

I denounce unto you this day, that ye shall surely perish, and that ye shall not prolong your days upon the land, whither thou passest over Jordan to go to possess it.

I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:

That thou mayest love the Lord (Yahweh) thy God (El), and that thou mayest obey His voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto Him: for He is thy life, and the length of thy days: that thou mayest dwell in the land which the Lord (Yahweh) sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them.

MATTHEW 22:32

I am the God (El) of Abraham, and the God (El) of Isaac, and the God (El) of Jacob? God (El) is not the God (El) of the dead, but of the living.

I SAMUEL 8:1-3

And it came to pass, when Samuel was old, that he made his sons judges over Israel.

Now the name of his firstborn was Joel; and the name of his second, Abiah: they were judges in Beersheba.

And his sons walked not in his ways, but turned aside after lucre, and took bribes, and perverted judgment.

I KINGS 3:28

And all Israel heard of the judgment which the king had judged; and they feared the king: for they saw that the wisdom of God (El) was in him, to do judgment.

I KINGS 6:11-16

And the word of the Lord (Yahweh) came to Solomon, saying,

Concerning this house which thou art in building, if thou wilt walk in My statutes, and execute My judgments, and keep all My commandments to walk in them; then will I perform My word with thee, which I spake unto David thy father:

And I will dwell among the children of Israel, and will not forsake My people Israel.

So Solomon built the house, and finished it.

And he built the walls of the house within with boards of cedar, both the floor of the house, and the walls of the ceiling: and he covered them on the inside with wood, and covered the floor of the house with planks of fir.

And he built twenty cubits on the sides of the house, both the floor and the walls with boards of cedar: he even built them for it within, even for the oracle, even for the most Holy place.

II CHRONICLES 6:23

Then hear thou from heaven, and do, and judge thy servants, by requiting the wicked, by recompensing his way upon his own head; and by justifying the righteous, by giving him according to his righteousness.

II CHRONICLES 19:5-7

And he set judges in the land throughout all the fenced cities of Judah, city by city,

And said to the judges, Take heed what ye do: for ye judge not for man, but for the Lord (Yahweh), who is with you in the judgment.

Wherefore now let the fear of the Lord (Yahweh) be upon you; take heed and do it: for there is no iniquity with the Lord (Yahweh) our God (El), nor respect of persons, nor taking of gifts.

EZRA 7:25,26

And thou, Ezra, after the wisdom of thy God (El), that is in thine hand, set magistrates and judges, which may judge all the people that are beyond the river, all such as know the laws of thy God (El); and teach ye them that know them not.

And whosoever will not do the law of thy God (El), and the law of the king, let judgment be executed speedily upon him, whether it be unto death, or to banishment, or to confiscation of goods, or to imprisonment.

NEHEMIAH 9:29-33

And testifiedst against them, that thou mightest bring them again unto thy law: yet they dealt proudly, and hearkened not unto thy commandments, but sinned against thy judgments, (which if a man do, he shall live in them;) and withdrew the shoulder, and hardened their neck, and would not hear.

Yet many years didst thou forbear them, and testifiedst against them by thy spirit in thy prophets: yet would they not give ear: therefore gavest thou them into the hand of the people of the lands.

Nevertheless for thy great mercies' sake thou didst not utterly consume them, nor forsake them; for thou art a gracious and merciful God (El).

Now therefore, our God (El), the great, the mighty, and the terrible God (El), who keepest covenant and mercy, let not all the trouble seem little before thee, that hath come upon us, on our kings, on our princes, and on our priests, and on our prophets, and on our fathers, and on all thy people, since the time of the kings of Assyria unto this day.

Howbeit thou art just in all that is brought upon us; for thou hast done right, but we have done wickedly:

JOB 36:10-14

He openeth also their ear to discipline, and commandeth that they return from iniquity.

If they obey and serve Him, they shall spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures.

But if they obey not, they shall perish by the sword, and they shall die without knowledge.

But the hypocrites in heart heap up wrath: they cry not when he bindeth them.

They die in youth, and their life is among the unclean.

REVELATION 21:8

But the fearful, and unbelieving, and abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

PSALMS 19:7-9

The law of the Lord (Yahweh) is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the Lord (Yahweh) is sure, making wise the simple.

The statutes of the Lord (Yahweh) are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the Lord (Yahweh) is pure, enlightening the eyes.

The fear of the Lord (Yahweh) is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the Lord (Yahweh) are true and righteous altogether.

PROVERBS 3:32-35

For the froward is abomination to the Lord (Yahweh): but His secret is with the righteous.

The curse of the Lord (Yahweh) is in the house of the wicked: but He blesseth the habitation of the just.

Surely He scorneth the scorners: but He giveth grace unto the lowly.

The wise shall inherit glory: but shame shall be the promotion of fools.

PROVERBS 18:5

It is not good to accept the person of the wicked, to overthrow the righteous in judgment.

PROVERBS 24: 23-25

These things also belong to the wise. It is not good to have respect of persons in judgment.

He that saith unto the wicked, Thou art righteous; him shall the people curse, nations shall abhor him:

But to them that rebuke him shall be delight, and a good blessing shall come upon them.

PROVERBS 28: 4-15

They that forsake the law praise the wicked: but such as keep the law contend with them

Evil men understand not judgment: but they that seek the Lord (Yahweh) understand all things.

Better is the poor that walketh in his uprightness, than he that is perverse in his ways, though he be rich.

Whoso keepeth the law is a wise son: but he that is a companion of riotous men shameth his father.

He that by usury and unjust gain increaseth his substance, he shall gather it for him that will pity the poor.

He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be abomination.

Proverbs 29:2

When the righteouses are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn.

Isaiah 1:26-28

And I will restore thy judges as at the first, and thy counsellers as at the beginning: afterward thou shalt be called, The city of righteousness, the faithful city.

Zion shall be redeemed with judgment, and her converts with righteousness.

And the destruction of the transgressors and of the sinners shall be together, and they that forsake the Lord (Yahweh) shall be consumed.

Ezekiel 18:4-9

Behold, all souls are Mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is Mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die.

But if a man be just, and do that which is lawful and right,

And hath not eaten upon the mountains, neither hath lifted up his eyes to the idols of the house of Israel, neither hath defiled his neighbour's wife, neither hath come near to a menstruous woman,

And hath not oppressed any, but hath restored to the debtor his pledge, hath spoiled none by violence, hath given his bread to the hungry, and hath covered the naked with a garment;

He that hath not given forth upon usury, neither hath taken any increase, that hath withdrawn his hand from iniquity, hath executed true judgment between man and man,

Hath walked in My statutes, and hath kept My judgments, to deal truly; he is just, he shall surely live, saith the Lord (Yahweh) thy God (El).

Ezekiel 44:23-24

And they shall teach My people the difference between the Holy and profane, and cause them to discern between the unclean and the clean.

And in controversy they shall stand in judgment; and they shall judge it according to My judgments: and they shall keep My laws and My statutes in all Mine assemblies; and they shall hallow My Sabbaths.

Amos 5:15

Hate the evil, and love the good, and establish judgment in the gate: it may be that the Lord (Yahweh) thy God (El) of hosts will be gracious unto the remnant of Joseph.

Micah 7:3

That they may do evil with both hands earnestly, the prince asketh, and the judge asketh for a reward; and the great man, he uttereth his mischievous desire: so they wrap it up.

Romans 1:17-32

For therein is the righteousness of God (El) revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.

For the wrath of God (EL) is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;

Because that which may be known of God (EL) is manifest in them; for God (EL) hath shewed it unto them.

For the invisible things of Him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:

Because that, when they knew God (El), they glorified Him not as God (El), neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.

Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,

And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God (El) into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.

Wherefore God (El) also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:

Who changed the truth of God (El) into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.

For this cause God (El) gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:

And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.

And even as they did not like to retain God (El) in their knowledge, God (El) gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;

Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,

Backbiters, haters of God (El), despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,

Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:

Who knowing the judgment of God (El), that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

Deuteronomy 23:17

There shall be no whore of the daughters of Israel, nor a Sodomite of the sons of Israel.

Romans 2:12-14

For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law;

(For not the hearers of the law are just before God (El), but the doers of the law shall be justified.

For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves:

Romans 3:31

Do we then make void the law through faith? God (El) forbid: yea, we establish the law.

Romans 5:18-21

Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.

For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.

Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:

That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ (Yahshua) our Lord (Yahweh).

I Corinthians 3:16, 17

Know ye not that ye are the temple of God (El), and that the Spirit of God (El) dwelleth in you?

If any man defile the temple of God (El), him shall God (El) destroy; for the temple of God (El) is Holy, which temple ye are.

Revelation 7:9-17

After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;

And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God (El) which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb.

And all the angels stood round about the throne, and about the elders and the four beasts, and fell before the throne on their faces, and worshipped God (El),

Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might, be unto our God (El) for ever and ever. Amen.

And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they?

And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

Therefore are they before the throne of God (El), and serve him day and night in his temple: and He that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them.

They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat.

For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God (El) shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.

Jude 11-19

Woe unto them! for they have gone in the way of Cain, and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the gainsaying of Core.

These are spots in your feasts of charity, when they feast with you, feeding themselves without fear: clouds they are without water, carried about of winds; trees whose fruit withereth, without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots;

Raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness for ever.

And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord (Yahweh) cometh with ten thousands of his saints,

To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against Him.

These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their own lusts; and their mouth speaketh great swelling words, having men's persons in admiration because of advantage.

But, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ (Father/Yahshua);

Psalms 148:14

Ezekiel 25:14, 15

Joel 3:10-17

Beat your plowshares into swords and your pruninghooks into spears: let the weak say, I am strong.
