Does the Almighty El have one name?
Psalms 83:18 18 That men may know that thou, whose name alone is JEHOVAH, art the most high over all the earth.2. Does He tell us His name so there can be no mistake on our part when we read His Word? Isaiah 42:8 8 I am the LORD: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.Of course we know that Lord is not a name. It should read "Yahweh". 3. Are we told to extol (praise) a certain name? Psalms 68:4 4 Sing unto God, sing praises to his name: extol him that rideth upon the heavens by his name JAH, and rejoice before him.4 .Does the Heavenly Father tell us that this name, which He calls himself, is to be used forever?Exodus 3:15 15 And God said moreover unto Moses, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, The LORD God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, hath sent me unto you: this is my name for ever, and this is my memorial unto all generations.Hosea 12:5 5 Even the LORD God of hosts; the LORD is his memorial.5. Does He tell us that His name is to be used by His people? Isaiah 52:6 6 Therefore my people shall know my name: therefore they shall know in that day that I am he that doth speak: behold, it is I. 6. Does He tell us to beware of using other names besides the one, which He Himself has chosen, and not to even speak of others? Exodus 23:13 13 And in all things that I have said unto you be circumspect: and make no mention of the name of other gods, neither let it be heard out of thy mouth. Joshua 23:7 7 That ye come not among these nations, these that remain among you; neither make mention of the name of their gods, nor cause to swear by them, neither serve them, nor bow yourselves unto them:Psalms 44:20-21 20 If we have forgotten the name of our God, or stretched out our hands to a strange god; 21 Shall not God search this out? for he knoweth the secrets of the heart.7. Are nations also obligated to call upon this Majestic name? Psalms 79:6 6 Pour out thy wrath upon the heathen that have not known thee, and upon the kingdoms that have not called upon thy name.Yahweh also tells us that we may find protection from tribulation by trusting in His sacred name. Proverbs 18:10 10 The name of the LORD is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe.Will the Sacred Name mean salvation? Joel 2:32 32 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as the LORD hath said, and in the remnant whom the LORD shall call.Romans 10:13-16 13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. 14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? 15 And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things! 16 But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report?Will using the Sacred Name mean an answer to Prayer? And that the baals will no more be remembered by their name? (Baalim) is plural of baal. Hosea 2: 16-17 16 And it shall be at that day, saith the LORD, that thou shalt call me Ishi; and shalt call me no more Baali. 17 For I will take away the names of Baalim out of her mouth, and they shall no more be remembered by their name. 12.Does the Almighty say that a book of remembrance is to be written containing the names of those who fear Yahweh and think upon His name, as they speak often to one another? Malachi 3:16-17 16 Then they that feared the LORD spake often one to another: and the LORD hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon his name. 17 And they shall be mine, saith the LORD of hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels; and I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth him.13.Does Yahweh tell us who is to blame for the crime against His name by removing it from His Word? Does the center concordance of your Bible reveal the true name of our Saviour as was in the original text? Hebrews 4:8 8 For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day.16. Does the Bible indicate that the Heavenly Father’s name is the name which each member of the Spiritual family; both in heaven and earth is named? Ephesians 3:14-15 14 For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, 15 Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, What is to be the seal, which protects people in the last days? Revelation 7:1-3 1 And after these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree. 2 And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea, 3 Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads.Revelation 14:1 1 And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him an hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father’s name written in their foreheads.Does the Son come in the Father’s name and consequently would bear His name? Ezekiel 36:20-23 20 And when they entered unto the heathen, whither they went, they profaned my holy name, when they said to them, These are the people of the LORD, and are gone forth out of his land. 21 But I had pity for mine holy name, which the house of Israel had profaned among the heathen, whither they went. 22 Therefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord GOD; I do not this for your sakes, O house of Israel, but for mine holy name’s sake, which ye have profaned among the heathen, whither ye went. 23 And I will sanctify my great name, which was profaned among the heathen, which ye have profaned in the midst of them; and the heathen shall know that I am the LORD, saith the Lord GOD, when I shall be sanctified in you before their eyes.Can you now answer the question posed by the writer of Proverbs in chapter 30:4? Proverbs 30:4 4 Who hath ascended up into heaven, or descended? who hath gathered the wind in his fists? who hath bound the waters in a garment? who hath established all the ends of the earth? what is his name, and what is his son’s name, if thou canst tell?What is in a name? In the name of Yahweh, you will find healing. Exodus 15:26 26 And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD that healeth thee.Salvation Acts 2:21 21 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.Eternal life Isaiah 57:15 15 For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.John 11:26 26 And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die.
